BIG changes coming to my radio program, today at 7!
Conservatives will be THRILLED. Liberals will be FURIOUS (but they won’t be able to keep themselves from listening).
By the way, after 7, we will be joined by Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter, who will all be calling in to celebrate the changes. Congressman J.D. Hayworth ( TEA Party favorite from Arizona) will be joining us at 8:45 too.
Prepare for pure radio excitement, as the KSFO Morning Show is about to become hotter than ever!

But i still miss OV. How about inviting him for occasional cameo appearances? I’m sure you must still be on good terms with him?
Brian, I get up and walk every morning at 5:00 a.m. and listen to you as I walk. When I heard that Melanie Morgan was coming back I started running, I was so excited! Wow! What a great addition to your program. I have appreciated her outspoken, common-sense conservative views for many years. Your program is a great way to begin every day, and now its even better. I love the recent addition of Katie Green as well! Keep up the great conservative talk!
Wow. I’m amazed. Melanie Morgan is a great addition. Losing Rush is a bonehead move. I’m outta there at 9am. J.D. Hayworth instead of Rush? No way. There is absolutely no accounting for the thinking of big radio companies. I used to listed most of the day, but not anymore. Officer Vic, your wit, talent and humor will be missed!
Well, I find myself very disappointed this morning. There’s not much else that’s so insecure or unsettling to one’s career as radio. Why would anyone want to get in to it! Apparently Citadel and Cumulus aren’t to be trusted. How could you get rid of OV, and RUSH!!!??? How fun it was to hear OV and Brian together with their opinions and their banter. Wasn’t a big fan of Lee. Melanie was a buffer and you got rid of her. Interesting she came back after that. Lee’s mouth was a bit coarse on air for me. Wasn’t that polite in his emails either when I just had a question or comment. Seemed to be a grumpy old man. But OV was the quality constant –and you get rid of him? Was just thinking this weekend that I hope no fruit-basket-upset changes were coming and hoping he would still be there. How very awful. And now I’ll have to get up and change the station after the morning program every day! Love JD, worked for his campaign to keep McCain out, felt sick the idiots voted and McCain won again, but don’t want JD replacing Rush, and never Levin. How did the new guy get the prime time spot anyway? Don’t want to keep a good person out, but how about cutting some of the 10:00 p.m. to infinity time slot and give him the early morning part of it…and let’s work on the government/FTC machine’s restrictions and allow better transmission between sundown and sunup!

I’ve been listening to KSFO since the 60′s, following the Giants and 49ers through the great Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons. I began listening again in the mid-90′s when KSFO became the world’s greatest radio station again with refreshing conservative talk. But today, with the booting of Rush Limbaugh off your station, whether it be a cost or a change in station philosophy, I am stunned. Does Cumulus realize he can be hard on hundreds of stations on the Internet?
After living in the bay area for over 50 years I now reside in Las Vegas but have continued to listen to you and RL on the Internet. As of today, that ends. I will continue to listen to you but I have found a new station to listen to the rest of the day.
Oh, and since you did this to us, how about updating your schedules. You still have the old one up.
I tuned in this morning and heard Melanie Morgan on with Brian, and they seemed totally unprepared to do a show…a lot of backslapping of one another, and no substance whatsoever. What a disaster. With Rush on 910, the morning show is going to get CRUSHED by Armstrong and Getty

You’ll join JD during every commercial break, and often forget to change back to the other station.
Meantime, the 9-noon slot on KSFO is profitable once again. The other station is owned by the company that syndicates Rush, so perhaps their finance structure will allow him to profitable over there–I don’t know.
Thanks Brian, appreciate your taking the time to answer. Thought it was “corporate space” I was commenting to. Still wonder about OV and will miss his presence. Never have liked 1st of the year changes like these. I have a couple of other comments, but I won’t do it for all to read.
JD Hayworth? Oh brother. Yeah, I get the whole “costs xx but only brings in x” bit…but JD Hayworth? He’s “unlistenable.”
I’m an early-40′s type, been listening to KSFO since mid-90s right after I got out of the USMC. Never liked the old codgers like Jim Eason and Lee Rodgers…Eason would let callers–especially fellow geriatrics–just ramble on FOREVER. Rodgers was okay back in his KGO days, but he was just old and stale on KSFO.
I was thrilled when Brian Sussman took over for Rodgers. OV was okay, but knew his days were numbered when KSFO decided they had to join the “let’s appear young & hip” bandwagon and brought in Katie Green and references to Facebook and Twitter…am I the only person under 50 who thinks FB and Twitter are stupid?
So guess I knew “change” was inevitable, but JD Hayworth AND Melanie Morgan? She might be a good conservative and does good works, but when it comes to radio she is shrill and nails on a chalkboard. I’ve forced myself to listen the past couple days and sorry, but so far this new pairing is TERRIBLE. I can’t see myself switching to nothing but Armstrong & Getty, so looks like I’ll be mixing in some Lamont & Tonelli on 107.7 The Bone and Rise Guys on 95.7 The Game.
Liked ya lots, Suss, but Melanie Morgan will kill your show…I’ll tune in down the road, maybe the show will be better, but I’m not holding my breath.

The addition of Melanie will rocket our ratings even higher. Meantime, A&R are a couple of talented charlatans, who talk just enough conservatism to sucker guys like you into their tent. L&T and the Rise Guys (never heard of them) are wannabes looking for our ratings.

No Officer Vic or Rush Limbaugh…. sorry, doesn’t work for me. I understand the economics, Zippo the red-assed chimp would be a lot cheaper than an actual broadcaster and might make the hours more profitable… but nowhere near as good, So its been almost a week without KSFO. After the detox, I feel just fine.

oh by the way Mel was good with Lee but with out Vic? ksfo is going feel it . Rush is why i liked ksfo Suss ,Vic ,Lee Mel was a good kick start . It only worked because of OV.
Getting rid of the awesome Office Vic (OV!) was a BIG MISTAKE. Melanie is ok but too shrill to listen to for more than a few minutes almost like nails on the chalkboard. BRING BACK OV and get rid of Melanie, PLEASE!

I greatly miss Dr. Vic and El Rushbo. I don’t tune in to KSFO until 3pm now for Mark. I hope Cumulus suffers from the loss of its morning listenners.

I miss OV ! What a shame……he and Brian were a perfect fit. Melanie is bright and nice but she is too shrill…..I can’t listen for more than a few minutes….Bring back OV. He is so talented and fun. I personally think he was a better “fit” with Brian.

Well, even thought my original comments were deleted, I was right Brian. JD’s show was a bomb. The Huck? he will be gone soon too. How about Glen Beck? Now that might get me to keep the radio tuned to KSFO!
His program was a success, but the company owns Huckabee show. JD was offered another time slot, but a deal could not be reached.
Sussman is a liar. No one was listening to the Hayworth show at all. It was a disaster. Ksfo did dodge a bullet by losing rush just before he went in his three day rant against Sandra fluke and then tucked his Wang into a fat fold when advertisers started bailing off his obese titanic
I found OV / Tom along with Rush so at 9:00 am It’s buy buy KSFO on the other SFO station.
You guys blew it. You had the best line up and blew it!
Hayworth was ok to listen for 2 min then go on to Rush. Melanie is like someone said “Melanie is bright and nice but she is too shrill”, bring back OV and say good bye to Melanie also get back Rush at 9.

Now back to Rush and OV on the other station.
My husband and I loved your program. But now, with Melanie is almost unbearable to listen it. It is HORRIBLE. The new format is so unprofessional, after a few minutes we just turn off the radio. Get rid of Melanie, she doesn’t allow anyone to talk, so opinionated!!

So So sad. I miss OV very much, loved especially his guitar and humorous wit. He is like no other. I like and applaud Mel for her activism but do not like her with Brian and Katie (I assume Katie would be toned down if Mel wasn’t there, if not, she needs to be). Too much “emotion” (shrill) going on for me early in the AM. I much prefer the humorous (professional) rhythm of Jack and Joe. Glad the xx are working out Brian but you were much better paired with OV. The girls are too “silly” next to your desire, and ours, to be taken seriously for your intellect. I will just continue to fawn over OV’s darling voice during his traffic reports on 910am and hope to hear some of his personality come through. So far, no luck.
We miss OV too.
But management really likes having ratings that are off the charts–as they currently are.
