What to do when Green harms nature?

Over in the video box to the right of this post (or here depending on the date you’re reading this) you’ll witness a majestic eagle getting whacked by a wind turbine.  As I note in my book, Climategate, those type of bird fatalities are occurring more and more frequently.   In fact, the American Bird Conservancy says such accidents take place more than 1,200 times every day.
Now contrast that with the four dozen migratory birds that allegedly died after landing in waste associated oil drilling in western North Dakota between May 20 and June 11.  Seven oil companies are being charged by the Feds for violating the 1918 Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

As  the Canada Free Press writes, ”When it comes to protecting America’s wildlife, environmental organizations and federal law enforcement officials have a double standard: one that’s enforced against oil, gas and electric utility sectors, and another that exempts wind and solar power from prosecution despite evidence of a multitude of violations.”

The goal of the green movement is to utilize pollution (both real and imagined) to demonize capitalism, free-markets, and property rights.  The greens HATE Big Oil.  They hate it because it benefits society, enhances lifestyles, and creates wealth.  They love alternative energy for three reasons: its installation creates short-term jobs, it makes them feel good,  and eventually they think with enough of it they can make a dent in our reliance fossil fuels.  But actually there’s a fourth reason: control. They know that by controlling the energy grid, they can better control your life.

I think we need to file suit to make the manufacturers of wind power fans put cages over the blades to protect the birds. Just makes sense. Who knows, somebody could be careless and get a finger cut off in one of those fans…………..
