The woman running Obamacare is America’s first Death Czar.
Today Kathleen (aka, “Cruella”) Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, rebuffed an appeal from Rep. Lou Barletta, R-PA, on behalf of a young girl who will soon die unless she receives a lung transplant. The problem is 10-year old Sarah Murnaghan, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, cannot acquire the transplant because of a federal regulation that prevents her from qualifying.
“Please, suspend the rules until we look at this policy,” Barletta begged Sebelius during a House hearing Tuesday on behalf of Sarah. Federal rules require that transplant recipients of an adult lung be at least 12 years of age; pediatric lungs–for which she qualifies–aren’t currently available. Despite her age Sarah’s physicians believe she could survive an adult lung transplant.
With an incredibly cold, insensitive delivery, Sebelius replied to the Congressmen, stating,“I would suggest, sir, that, again, this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies.”
Cruella Sebelius is America’s Death Czar. She will go down in history as the women who oversaw the implementation of Obamacare, which provides her god-like authority (Section 1182 of the Affordable Healthcare Act) in determining who shall and shall not receive medical services. And, as Governor Sarah Palin accurately told us, the Act also creates the “death panel” formally known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board. The Board determines which Medicare patients will receive treatment–or not.
Following Sebelius cruel pronouncement, Sarah’s Murnaghan’s mom told WFBB-TV, “This isn’t politics this is a human issue.”
We’ve crossed a horrid threshold in America. As if a million unborn babies killed each year wasn’t enough, we now will have a government targeting unfortunate members of every generation. It’s just another reason why the government should stay out of the healthcare business–entirely.
The rate of our moral descent in America is frightening. All I can do is pray. I hope you’ll do the same.
