From founder of Greenpeace: Where’s the global warming?

This graph from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), posted by Patrick Moore (co-founder of Greenpeace), illustrates that while CO2 has indeed risen since the late 1800s, the temperature has NOT.

The black line is CO2, the red line in temperature.

Enjoy!

The Current Attack Phrase: “America is NOT a Christian Nation”

One of the Left’s current attempts to further divide the people of the United States of America is to proclaim there is a growing and dangerous movement in this country wherein people believe the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation and our populace must return to those roots.  Additionally these sowers of division assert such a belief is associated with White supremacy and intolerance of any other religion besides Christianity.

Here’s the truth: While perhaps not an inscribed as “Christian Nation” in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution, America was most definitely founded on Christian principals.  The current claims by the Left of growing White supremacy is a manifestation of the Critical Race Theory propaganda model.

A wonderfully powerful collection of statements from our founders (posted by Randy Alcorn) illustrates how they believed that America most definitely was secured by Christian roots.

  • The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: that it connected in one indissoluble bond civil government with the principles of Christianity. John Quincy Adams

  • The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible. Noah Webster

  • We have staked the future of government not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions on the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves according to the ten commandments of God. James Madison (primary architect of the Constitution)
  • I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: “that God governs in the affairs of man.” And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? Ben Franklin
  • I therefore beg leave to move that, henceforth, prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberation be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business. Benjamin Franklin, at the Constitutional Convention
  • No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency . . . We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained. George Washington, Inaugural Address. (Historical note to above: Washington added the pledge, “So help me God,” to his inaugural oath. He then kissed the Bible to affirm his submission to the King of Kings.)

  • The Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man . . . But for it we could not know right from wrong. Abraham Lincoln

  • The Bible is the rock on which our Republic rests. Andrew Jackson

  • Hold fast to the Bible as the sheetanchor of your liberties; write its precepts in your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Ulysses S. Grant

And here’s one more, from the Delaware Constitution. It’s interesting to note that the Constitution of nearly every state begins by giving Glory to God.

  • Everyone serving in public office must affirm this statement: “I do profess faith in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed forever more, and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration.” Delaware Constitution

Enjoy the 4th: My “World Famous Patriot Ribs” Recipe

These ribs really are world famous.

Since I originally posted this recipe in 2009, I’ve received positive feedback from people all over the planet (including from American states that are known for their own awesome ribs).

Well-meaning BBQ aficionados tell me my ribs should have a little more “bite,” but I’ve found the average guy and gal loves having that meat simply fall off the bone.

So, the Patriot Rib recipe is what it is—a delicious crowd pleaser!

By the way, I’ve updated the recipe a bit over the years, with the help of my professional chef son, so this is the latest and greatest version!

Here’s the recipe:

Remove the ribs from the wrapping. DO NOT rinse the ribs. Place the ribs bone-side down in a ceramic, or glass, baking pan. Cover both sides of the ribs with BBQ rib rub of choice (I prefer Kirkland’s Sweet Mesquite BBQ Rub from Costco, but if you have a favorite use it!).  By the way, St. Louis pork ribs work just as well as the baby backs (I cannot guarantee this recipe for beef ribs).

Next, give your hands a good wash  and then pour a nice stout beer (I prefer Guinness Stout)) into the pan, a little less than an inch deep.  Do not try this with anything other than a dark stout beer or the ribs will be ruined.

Cover with aluminum foil and let the ribs sit for an hour on the kitchen counter.

Preheat your oven to 320.  Bake the ribs (in the pan, with the beer, covered with foil) for two hours.

Next, turn off the oven. Let the ribs remain in the closed oven for another 45-minutes.

While the ribs are sitting in the oven,  fire up your BBQ/grill and get the cooking grate nice and hot.

Now we’re ready for “show time.”  Take the ribs out of the oven, and out of the pan, and place directly onto the grate, meat side down. Slather a nice thin layer of sauce (Sweet Baby Rays is a big winner in my household) onto the bone side. Let them cook for 5-minutes.

Next, flip the ribs so the bone side is now down (you may have a rib or two fall away from the meat, but it’s going to be oh, so sweet to eat!).

Slather that sauce onto the meat side. Let them cook for a good 5-minutes  This will allow the sauce to caramelize.

Finally, get those ribs off the grill and onto a big serving plate!  Once served, the meat will literally fall off the bone. If your guests want additional sauce on their ribs make it available—and don’t forget a roll of paper towels in the middle of the table.

God bless you, your family, and America!

Enjoy the ribs!

Why Does The Left Hate America?

The Left insists, “The American flag stands for hatred, warmongering, and imperialism.”

They teach that, “Our free-market system is responsible for killing and oppressing millions of people.”

They shout, “This country breeds racists and sexists.”

Really?

It is if you accept the lies and propaganda from the anti-American Left in our own country. This dismal, distorted view of the greatest, freest nation in history comes from a Left who would rather idolize Marx than Madison,  and Castro more than Jefferson.  These are the people who burn down businesses and destroy property to protest free markets and who fight alongside radical terrorists rather than against them. They trample the Constitution while hiding behind the First Amendment.  Their idea of displaying the American flag is setting it on fire and parading it through the streets.

Yes, this is a Left comprised of people who truly hate their country, and they will stop at nothing to tear her down—smashing our liberty in the process.

Kevin Hart is a popular comedian, and seems to be a nice enough guy, but he wasn’t joking when he told The New York Times that, “You’re witnessing white power and white privilege at an all-time high.”

Again, really? If that were true, why would so many Black people come to America from Africa and the Caribbean? Don’t they know what Hart and white progressive elites keep telling us: that America suffers from systemic racism and white supremacy?

But how bad can a country really be, these leftists might want to ask themselves, if it allows its citizens to publicly denounce it, with no fear of being sent to an American gulag? Try that in China and, you’ll be lucky if you don’t wind up dead or behind bars. At the least you’ll find yourself in a “reeducation camp.”

According the Gallup, America is one of the least racist countries in the world, far behind Egypt (ranked No. 1), Russia (No. 4), Japan (No. 9).

In wealth, America is in the top few if you leave out the fortuitous wealth of small oil countries like Qatar and Kuwait. Wealth does not make a country good, but poverty can certainly make it bad.

In economic freedom, America ranks fourth out of 162 countries. Socialist paradise Venezuela ranks dead last. Huh, go figure.

Americans have won the most Nobel Prizes. In fact, we’ve won nearly triple the number of the second-highest country, and about the same number as countries second through sixth combined.

But never mind all that.

Elon Musk sparked a firestorm in April by tweeting a meme that calls out the radical drift of left-wing politics in America, showing how the rise of the ultra-left has made people like him suddenly seem right-of-center though their views haven’t changed.

Why the uproar? Because the meme is spot on. As Musk explained in a follow-up, “I strongly supported Obama for president, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists.”

The American left has, over the past decade and a half, gone insane. I believe it’s actually spiritually motivated.

I talk about this in my current podcast, #142 Why The Left Hates America.

Friends, we can’t remain on the sideline. Faith, family, and freedom are under attack. Truly the real ache in the hearts of leaders on the Left is a hole in their hearts that can only be filled with the Love of Jesus.

The Left Unleashed: Special Podcast

Pro-Abortion radicals have been unleashed to attack the sacred institutions designed by God for a civil society: the traditional family, our constitutional republic, and the Bible believing people who compose His church.

Think about it, our children are being taught men can have babies; our brilliant constitutional republic is being dismissed as outdated and in dire need of a makeover that would please Marx, not Madison; and the Christian men and women who compose the church are labeled intolerant haters.

These are perilous times, and the persecution of  Christians in America is beginning to unfurl.

In this special edition of The Brian Sussman Show Podcast I detail the role of these institutions, and discuss why the left is so outraged by the recent Supreme Court leak which could signal the end of Roe v Wade, thus finally putting an end to federal abortion laws in the United States of America.
