Climate Change: Hype, Facts (and What God Has to Say)

(This is commentary was originally published at World Net Daily in January, 2021).

Here we go. The climate crisis hoax is in full gear as Joe Biden’s climate envoy John Kerry indicated today, speaking to the Climate Adaptation Summit,  that the U.S. will contribute at least $2 billion this year to help poor countries deal with the worst effects of climate change, underscoring its commitment to the Paris Agreement.

This coming after President Donald Trump halted donations to the so called, Green Climate Fund during his time in office.

The Green Climate Fund is a United Nations program to help developing nations supposedly shift to “clean” energy and deal with the storms and flooding that they claim have been exacerbated by climate change. Under Obama’s presidency the U.S. had pledged to donate $3-billion annually to the fund. The U.S. paid only $1 billion of that before Trump took office in 2017, the Trump pulled the U.S. out of the overarching Paris Climate Accord, thus killing the money that was supposed to go to the Green Climate Fund.

According to the Biden administration, that leaves a $2 billion shortfall, payable now.

Note to Joe Biden: the U.S.A. cannot unilaterally contribute the $2-billion. Delivering more money to the Green Climate Fund would require approval from the U.S. Congress.

Nonetheless, Joe’s Climate Czar John Kerry has been playing his climate scare cards ever since the inauguration.

“Time is very short,” he claimed last week while speaking the to B-20 forum of countries by phone. The world is moving much too slowly to avoid dangerous warming, he said.

So, here’s a taste of the truth regarding climate change, then I’ll get into what God says about it.

Some key facts for you:

  • From 1850 (Industrial Revolution) to 1940 the earth’s atmospheric temperature rose about 1-degree Fahrenheit (F) with most of that warming occurring in the 1930s.
  • From 1940 to 1970 the atmosphere cooled .18 degrees F.
  • From 1970 to 1998 there was a warming of .34 degrees F.
  • Since 1998 there has been a warming of approximately .34 F

That said, since the Industrial Revolution–including the production of countless cars, trucks, ships and planes all running on fossil fuels; plus billions of buildings all heated and cooled with fossil fuels; plus all of the products consumed by trillions of humans–the planet’s atmospheric temperature has only risen a bit over 1-degree.

That’s it.

And, the temperature record proves that it was 2-degrees warmer from 900-1300AD. If you want to go back thousands of years it was warmer still.

Bonus statistic: checking the records over the past 100-plus years, the number of hurricanes and tornadoes have not increased.

So, why spend all this money?

Among other things it’s an attempt to give each of the 200 countries in the Paris Climate Accord an equal vote. In doing so the influence of the United States is no greater than that of Saint Kitts (population 53,000). This is called transnationalism, or, one-world government. It’s what the Paris Accord is really all about.

Now, as for God, scripture is clear that God is sovereign over everything including the weather. For example, seasons will continue: While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease (Genesis 8:22).

Psalm 148:7-8 declares, Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding…

As for fears of rising oceans and insurmountable floods, the Bible promises that will never happen (again):

I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh (Genesis 9:11-15).

By the way, God has revealed the end life as we know it on planet earth and that end won’t come about by man-made climate change. It’ll end when God judges the earth with fire and creates new heavens and new earth. 2 Peter 3:7 says, the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

    Thanks, Cee.
Just to be clear, I was only a contributor on Agenda 2 (but it’s still one heckuva film!).
    Very best regards,
    Brian
