Seven states are still hanging in the electoral balance as the country anxiously awaits the final results of the 2020 race.
The 2020 election was upended by the coronavirus pandemic, resulting in more ballots than ever being cast by mail. Many warned that mail-in ballots (different than absentee ballots) were a potential recipe for fraud, a slow count, or both.
Because we are a Constitutional Republic, each of the 50 states has its own set of complex election laws — many of which have been taken up in courts across the country as states grapple with a surge of mail-in voting for the first time. Trust me, if the democrats ever get their way they’ll make sure our voting system is one-size-fits-all and is based on popular vote.
Voters nationwide have their eyes glued to races still being counted in Alaska, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
