Our judicial system is certainly imperfect, but remains superior compared to other such charters worldwide, throughout history. Ours is a system based not on emotion, but on evidence. At the foundation of our judicial order is the unique principle that one is wholly innocent until proven guilty. One remains innocent of the charges brought before him/her if a jury decides that there remains even a SHADOW of doubt that the crime, as charged, was not committed.
The only perfect system of justice will occur on judgement day, at the end of all time, where both judge and jury will be found in the Creator of our souls. As the Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
