Earth Day’s Authentic Radical History

“Earth Day has never been a celebration of the beauty and bounty of this awesome terrestrial ball.  It’s always been an assault on man.”–Climategate (2010).

On April 22, 1970, a trio of radical dreamers established the first Earth Day, an event designed to assault capitalism, free-markets and humankind at large.

The initial concept was conceived by Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-WS).  You think AOC and “The Squad” are congressional radicals? Nelson paved the path for today’s progressive/socialist/communist members of congress. Nelson was also Washington’s leading environmentalist activist. He was also the mastermind behind those ridiculous so-called “teach-ins” which were vogue in the Sixties and early Seventies.  During the teach-ins, mutinous school instructors would scrap the day’s assigned curriculum, pressure their students to sit cross-legged on the floor, and “rap” about how America was an imperialist nation, and converse about why Marxism really wasn’t such a bad form of government—it just needed to be implemented properly.

Nelson’s teach-in efforts were aided by a young man named Denis Hayes.  Hayes was student body president while at Stanford, and well known for organizing anti-Vietnam war protests.  Hayes heard about Senator Nelson’s teach-in concept and eventually helped Nelson institute the practice nationwide.

Rounding out the troika was Professor Paul Ehrlich of Stanford.  In 1968 Ehrlich authored the Malthusian missive, The Population Bomb, in which he infamously spouted wild allegations which included equating the earth’s supposed surplus of people with a cancer that needs to be eradicated:  “A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells; the population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people…We must shift our efforts from treatment of the symptoms to the cutting out of the cancer.  The operation will demand many apparently brutal and heartless decisions,” he wrote.

While I exposed Earth Day’s real history in Climategate, I bring to light even more damning facts in my new book, Climate Cult: Exposing and Defeating Their War on Life, Liberty, and Property.

In 1969, following a much-hyped oil spill off the Santa Barbara coast, an overly-hyped patch of fire on Cleveland’s Cuyahoga River, and the drug-induced vibes cast across the nation via the Woodstock Music and Art Fair, Senator Nelson met with Ehrlich and reportedly said, “My God—why not a national teach-in on the environment?”  Hayes was brought in to play a pivotal role with organization and implementation.  After careful consideration a name and date for the event were chosen:  the inaugural Earth Day would be celebrated April 22, 1970—the late Russian dictator Vladimir Lenin’s Centennial birthday.

Environmentalists have always admired Lenin.  He was the first disciple of Karl Marx to capture control of a country and the opening act of his seven-year reign commenced with the abolition of all private property—a Marxist priority.  Despite overseeing a bloody civil war, a devastated economy and a citizenry without hope, Lenin made it a priority to implement his signature decree, “On Land.”  In it he declared that all forests, waters, and minerals to be the exclusive property of the state, and he demanded these resources be protected from use by the public and private enterprise.  Selling timber or firewood, mining minerals, or diverting water for farming was strictly prohibited. Millions died from execution, starvation and hypothermia during Lenin’s time in office, yet he thought more highly of the environment then he did his people.

While Nelson and Ehrlich were already known as non-traditional crackpots, Hayes was that and more.  In a New York Times article published the morning after the first Earth Day headlined, “Angry Coordinator of Earth Day,” young Hayes bragged that five years earlier he fled overseas because “I had to get away from America.”  Hayes was so committed to his anti-capitalist cause that he made sure his organization did not even produce Earth Day bumper stickers, “You want to know why?” he explained to the Times, because “they go on automobiles.”

Earth Day has never been a celebration of the beauty and bounty of this awesome terrestrial ball. It’s always been an assault on man.  During the first decade of Earth Day observances people were proclaimed the polluter.  By the Eighties the event’s organizers cast mankind as the tree killer, and, with the Nineties, humans evolved into the animal species annihilator.  The global warming scare never really became popular until the late Nineties (in large measure because of the influence of Vice President Al Gore), and when it did, it provided compatriots at the Earth Day headquarters with the ultimate hook to hang their red berets: humans, particularly Americans, were now screwing up the entire planet’s climate.

On Earth Day, rather then join in the Marxist falderal designed to hammer the American way, let’s give thanks for our nation’s abundant resources and dedicate ourselves to electing leaders who will reclaim our natural capital from the stranglehold of regulations, policies and laws that are more in keeping with the tyranny of Marx than the liberty of Madison.

University Study: One Billion to Die From Climate Change

According to a press release from Western University in Canada:

If global warming reaches or exceeds two degrees Celsius by 2100, Western University’s Joshua Pearce says it is likely mainly richer humans will be responsible for the death of roughly one billion mainly poorer humans over the next century.

Their solution is also found in the presser:

A Western-led study proposes aggressive energy policies that would enable immediate and substantive decreases to carbon emissions and recommends a heightened level of government, corporate and citizen action to accelerate the decarbonization of the global economy, aiming to minimize the number of projected human deaths.

The press release and subsequent study are vivid illustrations of how the climate agenda is nothing more than a Marxist scheme to cripple America first, then the rest of the developed world, particularly Europe.

Since 1917, when communism claimed Russia, the leading cause of unnatural death–in the entire world–has been Marxism in its various forms. The Marxist’s know once America falls, the rest of the dominoes will follow and they can seize the global population.

Note the first sentence in the press release: richer humans will be responsible for the death of roughly one billion.  This is agitprop.  Rich vs poor, us vs them. It’s what the communists do to destroy free markets.

Now note the sentence: a heightened level of government, corporate and citizen action to accelerate the decarbonization of the global economy, This is code for government enforcement of limiting personal and property rights, picking corporate winners and losers, and empowering stakeholders to shut down Big Oil. Their decarbonized world will skyrocket inflation, trash the dollar, give us an energy grid filled with rolling blackouts and insecurity, and offer the power elites the opportunity to control the “lesser minded” while they rake in cash and life in abundance.

Coming to America: Socialism’s Ultimate Goal

This commentary  was first published at World Net Daily…

“Society cannot leap into Communism from capitalism without going through a socialist stage of development.”

This predictive comment was spoken by Nikita Khrushchev, dictatorial leader of the Soviet Union. It was published by TIME Magazine in 1959 (February 9, Russia: Victor’s War).

In ’59 America’s leftists were fawning over an anticipated visit to the United States by Khrushchev.

Once here, his propaganda tour included a speech to the National Press Club in Washington on September 16, where wanted to clear the air on a previous statement that received much attention in the States: “We will bury capitalism.”

“I have already said that the words ‘We will bury capitalism’ should not be taken literally, as is done by ordinary gravediggers who carry a spade and dig graves and bury the dead,” he explained. “What I had in mind was the outlook for the development of human society. Socialism will inevitably succeed capitalism.”

Progressives reeled with delight.

Khrushchev ruled the communist Soviet Union, which included Russia and most of Eastern Europe, from 1953 to 1964. He did so with an iron fist. Political dissidents and all who practiced religion were brutally persecuted.

It’s a shame that nearly all Americans under 40 (Millennials and Gen Z) have never heard of Khrushchev. In fact, this demographic generally does not know anything about the Soviet Union which brutally reigned from 1922 until 1991, holding nearly 300 million people in its clutches. You see, America’s school curricula have been modified to keep such facts entombed in order to uphold a slogan from communism’s founder, Karl Marx, who proclaimed, “History means nothing.”

Now students come away believing socialism is not really such a bad idea. Yet it was the first Soviet leader, Vladimir Lenin, a disciple of Marx, who stated, “The goal of socialism is communism.”

The socialism stages of development are well underway in the U.S.A.

Look first at our public education system which has trained millions what to think, not how to think. Orthodox history has been deviously eliminated and replaced with Critical Race Theory, which has led us to violent racial strife and class enmity. Traditional human sexuality and biology have been usurped by an LGBTQ agenda. Free-market economics has been tossed in favor of government regulated pricing, distribution and production. Christianity, once a hallmark of public education, is now banned and replaced by faith in progressive government leaders.

Simultaneously, unimaginable levels of drug and alcohol abuse have created vast villages of tents and cardboard huts, not unlike the Third World. The economy in this growing freakish sector is fueled by unprosecuted crimes and government welfare cash.

Certainly, Khrushchev would be pleased by our national debt. In 1959 it was $285 billion. Today it’s $30 trillion, equating to $243,000 per taxpayer.

Criticism of the above is countered by well-orchestrated controls over the flow of information. Editorial positions of popular news media tilt far left. Younger Americans rely on social media for their news with Gen Z preferring ridiculous sources like Instagram and TikTok, the latter headquartered in Beijing. Interestingly, Communist China only allows an extremely modified version of the app for its citizens.

And then there is the vote. Khrushchev’s predecessor was Joseph Stalin, a brutal dictator. In a memoir written by his secretary, Boris Bazhanov, Stalin is quoted as saying, “People who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”

Our Republic has been usurped by tyrants who are rewriting national history, purging it of inconvenient truths. Such players capitalize on the widespread frustration and profit from the chaos, seeking to curtail the people’s participation in politics. They discriminate based on race, sex, religion, and more recently masks and vaccinations. They hold no moral compass.

Now, more than ever, we need history to be told, the truth to be shared, and God to be revered.

By the way, I’ve recorded a podcast based on this article; it’s The Brian Sussman Show Podcast Episode #144, “Creeping Communism in the USA.”

Communist Fist Identical to BLM Fist – a coincidence?

As you will hear in the current Hidden Headlines Podcast (#70), the iconic communist fist of so-called “unity” is identical to the Black Lives Matter fist used to rally their useful idiots (as Lenin would call them).

This is no coincidence. Check out my latest podcast.

And by the way, that unity quickly ends once the communist leaders have taken over. Ask the 135,000 souls who died during the last century at the hands of communists.
