On Saturday, President Joe Biden presented an op-ed in the Washington Post reiterating his support for the 100-year old “two-state solution” as the only answer to current war. “As we strive for peace,” he said, “Gaza and the West Bank should be reunited under a single governance structure, ultimately under a revitalized Palestinian Authority, as we all work toward a two-state solution.”

Biden is playing both sides, pretending to be for Israel while cowering to Arab authoritarian’s with a penchant for terrorism.

The two-state solution has proven itself to be a pie in the sky strategy devised by the west. It’s a plan that historically has punished the Jewish people and emboldened their Arab-Muslim neighbors.

First off, history proves this is a blood feud stemming back thousands of years, all the way to the Bible’s very first book, Genesis. It involves the father of the semitic people, Abraham, who was the first Hebrew and the father of faith in Yahweh/Adonai/Elohim (aka the only God, as in Creator of the universe). In the 13^th chapter of Genesis, God gave Abraham a distinct promise that through Abraham’s biological lineage there would be birthed a great nation (and from that genetic line would eventually come the Savior and Messiah):

 The Lord said to [Abraham]…“Now raise your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward, and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see I will give to you and to your descendants forever. I will make your descendants as plentiful as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can count the dust of the earth, then your descendants could also be counted. Arise, walk about in the land through its length and width; for I will give it to you,” (Genesis 13:14-17 NASB).

The land was further described in Genesis 15:

“To your descendants I have given this land,
From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates…”

However, many years passed and Abraham and his wife Sarah were very old, well past the childbearing years. So, they took matters into their own hands, compromising God’s promise to them; Abraham would have sexual relations with one of their servants, an Egyptian named Hagar (a common practice in that day). She would bear the couple a son to carry on the family line. Immediately, disfunction arose in Abraham’s household. In Genesis 16:4, we read, when Hagar became aware that she had conceived, her mistress [Sarah] was insignificant in her sight.

As the one who carried Abraham’s child, Hagar felt a superior status towards Sarah and things soured quickly. Hagar fled, only to be intercepted by the angel of the Lord who told Hagar two vital things which bring us to the issue of the day:

“Return to your mistress, and submit to her authority.” The angel of the Lord also said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.” The angel of the Lord said to her further, “Behold…you will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Ishmael, because the Lord has heard your affliction.But he will be a wild donkey of a man; His hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him; and he will live in defiance of all his brothers.” (Genesis 16:9-12).

Ishmael became the father of the Arab people. Eventually Abraham and Sarah would have their own biological son, Isaac, who would become the forerunner of the Jewish people of Israel. Isaac is the son of God’s original promise to Abraham, Ishmael is the son of a promise made to Hagar. And note, while the descendants of Ishmael indeed seem to have inherited a spirit of stubbornness and defiance, there are many times in the Bible where the descendants of Isaac and his son Jacob are described as “stiff-necked,” and “rebellious.”

Again, what we’re witnessing in the Middle East is a long-standing battle. I know many broad-minded thinkers believe the Bible to be nothing more than silliness, but one cannot deny this conflict between the descendants of Abraham has been prominently displayed in the pages of history for millennia.

From the Bible’s perspective, there is no two-state solution. The land of Israel (named after Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel), was promised to the Hebrew people. Though the nation was ultimately destroyed under Roman rule in 70AD, in accordance with a prophecy written 2,500 years ago in the Bible’s book known as Ezekiel, a rebirth of Israel would someday occur.

Now, here is rest of story, the likes of which the current “pro-Palestinian” movement refuses to acknowledge.

In the 19th century Palestine was a part of the British Empire and Jewish people from Europe and Russian began returning to their promised land, in many cases purchasing property at top dollar rates from local Arabs. In 1917, during the midst of World War I, a letter was written by British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour in which he expressed the British government’s support for a Jewish homeland in what was known as Palestine, which stretched from the Mediterranean Sea to the eastern boundary of what is now known as Iraq. By the way, the name “Palestine” was coined by the Romans in 135AD, following a final uprising by the Jewish people. Palestine was synonymous with “Philistine,” the ancient enemy of Israel, from which the mighty giant Goliath originated. “Palestine” was meant to be an insult to the Jews, and it was obviously a moniker that stuck.

While the idea of a Jewish homeland was altruistic in the minds of some, for many in the British government, it was a political strategy that would create a land bridge between the crucial British territories of India and Egypt. The establishment of a Jewish state—under British protection—would accomplish this goal.

In 1920, Great Britain was given the responsibility by the newly enacted League of Nations to oversee the reconstituting of a Jewish home: Palestine. The original League of Nations plan reinstituted a significant portion of Israel’s original borders, but that idea was quickly tossed (by none other than Winston Churchill) in favor of giving a sliver of Palestine to the Jewish people and the rest of the land to the Arab Hashemite family (who currently run the nation of Jordan). The Hashemite land was called Transjordan. British officials claimed that the decision was in gratitude to the Hashemites’ contribution in helping defeat the Turks. Immediately, Jewish residence outside the designated territory of the new Palestine (only 50-miles wide at its largest point) was forbidden, enforced by expulsion or even death. In 1923, another alteration was made, carving away from Palestine the Golan Heights, an area of strategic security protecting the region from enemies to the immediate east. Nonetheless, the Jewish territory began to flourish. The failed economies of the surrounding Arab states caused a massive flood of illegal immigration into Palestine which was likely twofold: some came looking for work, others came with thoughts of subterfuge and takeover. These immigrants would become the current Arab Palestinians who are locked in camps run by Islamist mobsters who seek to use them as a tool of irritation to Israel, and ultimately extermination of the Jewish people who live there. By the way, it must be noted: prior to 1948 every Jew born in that area has on his or her birth certificate a “place of birth” that reads Palestine, in other words everyone living there prior to 1948 was a Palestinian.

During its administration of the Jewish territory up until 1947, Britain severely restricted Jewish immigration and purchases of land while turning a blind eye to the Arab immigration. Britain’s pathetic record of appeasement of the Arabs culminated in the infamous 1939 White Paper, limiting Jewish immigration to just 75,000 people for the next five years. Coming on as it eve of the outbreak of World War II and the Holocaust, this decree was literally a death blow to millions of Jewish souls attempting to flee extermination by Nazi Germany.

Following the war, the United Nations was formed in 1945. Britain’s mismanagement of the region led to the United Nations Partition Plan of ’47, meant to provide a refuge for the surviving Jewish remnants of the Holocaust and for the growing numbers of Jewish refugees being driven out of their homes throughout the Arab world. It was essentially the first two-state solution. The Arab regimes flatly rejected the Partition Plan. Then, as now, they worked against the existence of an independent Jewish state.

Proving God can use any entity for His glory, the U.N.’s plan allowed Israel to be officially reconstituted as a sovereign nation in 1948. Transjordan was renamed the Kingdom of Jordan. Immediately, the Arab nations rebuffed the arrangement and attempted an onslaught to exterminate the Israel. The reborn nation’s 600,000 Jews fought to survive the massive Arab attack which lasted nine months. At the outbreak of war, Arabs living peacefully in Israel made the poor decision to flee to join their Arab brethren outside of the land, and were  hastily rejected from immigrating into their countries.

Miraculously, Israel held off its enemies, but ended up losing precious territory as armistice lines resulted in an Israeli border a mere nine miles wide at its most densely populated area. The homeless Arabs were left to dwell in camps along the borders of Israel. These people would become the modern day Palestinians; the ones protestors in the developed world insist should have their homeland back. Of course the misinformed rabble have no idea that today many Arabs live in Israel and are even represented in Israel’s Knesset (governing body). They also have no clue that the name Hamas translate to the word “violence.”

In 1963, the Arab nations introduced a new weapon in their war against Israel, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).  Yassar Arafat became PLO chairman and oversaw the development of a charter calling for Israel’s destruction. Terrorist attacks soon became the preferred method of intimidation by the PLO, including the horrid attack on the Israeli delegation at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany.

Another planned attack of Israel occurred in 1967,  the Six Day War. Israel again withstood its foes, but Israel, under extreme global pressure, foolishly accepted a deal give away the newly liberated “West Bank” to Jordan, and the Gaza Strip to its Egyptian occupiers in return for a full and lasting peace. But the Arab League of Nations, meeting in Khartoum in August 1967, delivered the infamous three NO’s: no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel. When these people say, “No,” they are playing for keeps.

Since that time, much of the world continues to demand the establishment of yet another Arab state; but now something new is becoming a prominent theme at the protests: no more Israel—which is the very wish of the Arab nations. What must be realized in this demand this is really a call for  the “Jewish occupiers” or suffer the consequences of a second Holocaust.

In chapters 36 and 37 of the aforementioned book of Ezekiel, we read that there will come a time when Israel will be attacked by slew of nations: Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Libya, and Sudan. This war will be a sign of two things signifying the end times: the return of Messiah and the salvation of the Jewish people. The Bible also states during this attack, Israel will be without ally, meaning even the U.S. will turn its back—something that seems very possible when Gen Z finally takes the helm of U.S. politics.
