Did they tell you it's cold too?

You’ve no doubt now heard that for many cities across the U.S., July 4th was the hottest on record.  However, did you hear this  inconvenient truth? 37 cities recorded their all-time coolestmaximum temperature on Independence Day.

Meantime, USA TODAY insists that the U.S. “is in the middle of its worst drought in 55 years.”

And of course, the media says all of this heat is because of human-caused climate change.

Professor: Climate Change & Holocaust Deniers Same

A professor teaching environmental studies at Brooklyn College of CUNY has associated deniers of anthropogenic climate change with Holocaust deniers.  Even more disturbing, the professor is himself a Holocaust survivor.

Micha Tomkiewicz published a series of blogs on the official campus website, likening climate change to genocide.  “I don’t want my grandchildren to die in a climate change genocide that we could have helped head off because we were waiting for some unattainable certainty about climate change,” he writes.

Solargate: we saw it coming

On May 26, 2010, President Obama stood before investors, management and employees of solar panel manufacturer Solyndra, and gave praise to the half-billion dollar guaranteed federal loan issued to the company via Stimulus funds. “It’s here that companies like Solyndra are leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future,” Obama proclaimed.

While Obama highlighted the company’s “cutting edge solar panels,” insiders knew the firm’s proprietary technology was actually “bleeding edge.”  In other words, the product was so unique that there was a high risk of it being unreliable and more expensive to employ than it was worth.

A month after the President’s speech Solyndra’s highly anticipated IPO of stock was suddenly cancelled.  A few weeks later the firm’s founder and CEO resigned.  The collapse of Solyndra, the great green hope of the Obama administration, was underway—and it was no surprise for many of us who live in the Silicon Valley.

Solyndra was the most well funded start-up in the history of the Valley. They had raised more initial capital than companies like Google, Amazon or Apple.  By the time Team Obama  stepped in the firm company had burned through a billion dollars of venture capital and no investors were willing to put down further cash.  Two of those investors included George Kaiser and Steve Westly, both Obama fundraisers.  Westly is California’s former State Controller and sits on the President’s energy advisory board.  Pumping federal money into their investment certainly might alleviate some of their risk.

When a listener to my radio program called at 5:05AM on August 31 to let me know that all Solyndra employees would be fired at 6 that morning, we new the gig was finally up.  Solyndra was a failure and taxpayers were on the hook for half-a-billion.

Now, thanks to the release of some key emails, we know the Obama White House tried to rush independent federal reviewers for a decision regarding the guaranteed loan to Solyndra so Vice President Biden could announce the deal at a September 2009 groundbreaking for the company’s factory.

The 2009 e-mails, released to The Washington Post and ABC News, show White House officials repeatedly asking Office of Management and Budget (OMB) reviewers when they would be able to decide on the federal loan, noting a looming press event at which they planned to announce the deal.  In one e-mail an OMB official referred to “the time pressure we are under to sign-off on Solyndra.” Another complained, “There isn’t time to negotiate.”  Still another analyst warned, “This deal is NOT ready for prime time.”

Obama was never ready for prime time as illustrated by this green debacle.   The Administration will twist and turn to find blame elsewhere, but Solyndra will prove to be Obama’s Solargate.

The Leading Ass

Democrats can’t hide the fact that the icon of their party is a donkey—an ass.

And when it comes to their positions on the issues of the day, some could argue that their brains seem to be stuck in a portion of their anatomy that is void of illumination—a place on the body that rhymes with…pass.

Tonight the Democrats’ leading ass, President Obama, will speak to the nation about his plan to revive the economy.  The plan will involve more government spending–period. Only one as stubborn as a donkey would continue to trot out such a scheme, given that to date such machinations have done nothing but run up our nation debt, kill job creation, devalue the dollar, and foment a climate of economic uncertainty.

Contrast Obama’s speech to the Republican debate Wednesday night.  The GOP candidates spoke of limited government, employing Constitutional principles, reducing federal spending, and restructuring social security. These are thoughtful ideas that are rooted in common sense.

The coming election is going to be a choice between ideological, socialist, liberty-sucking ideas coming from the donkey party, and a platform rooted in the Constitution that will move us toward Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness as heralded by the Republican party.

Only a dumb ass could make the wrong choice.

Obama: "We'll bring a gun."

As we’ve all heard, on Monday Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa had some profane, combative words for Republicans as he warmed up the crowd for President Obama in Detroit, Michigan.  However, how many have realized this occurred DURING A GOVERNMENT SPONSORED EVENT!

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers,”  blasted Hoffa to the heavily union crowd. “And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what?  They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner.  It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war!”

Then, in a direct plea to the Commander in Chief, Hoffa blared, “President Obama, this is your army.  We are ready to march.  Let’s take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong!”

When given the opportunity to back away from Hoffa’s remarks the White House’s pressman, Jay Carney, declined.  Likewise when Democrat National Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was asked by Gretchen Carlson of Fox News to distance her party from the the comments, she refused.

Why should any of us be surprised?  The Democrats are beholden to the unions for muscle.  The DNC plays union members like a cheap kazoo, whipping them up into a Marxian frenzy so they may be more pliable to the demands of the party. The union thugs will pack town halls meetings, intimidate Tea Party folks, stuff ballot boxes–anything to win, baby, win.

As for not  backing away from Hoffa’s slime,  again, it’s all in keeping with what’s in their dark little hearts.  After all, it was candidate Obama who declared to an audience in Philadelphia on June 13, 2008:  “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.  Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl.”

Obama was flanked by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and Senator Bob Casey.  None of them distanced themselves from the violent language of a Chicago politician.  Obama made the comment at a fundraiser where the minimum donation was $1,000, and the maximum was $2,300.  He was using fiery rhetoric to whip the 400 people in attendance to give as much money as possible.

Fear, scaremongering, impeding doom.  This is what motivates the brains of those who have been infected with liberalism–and their leaders know it.

However, it’s nothing that a dose of liberty won’t fix.
