More Proof: Biden Committing to World War

If you thought my last post was a stretch when I stated that the Biden White House is possibly arranging for a World War, the latest commentary by longtime political analyst Patrick J. Buchanan underscores my concern.

Writes Buchanan, “If China invades Taiwan to unify it with the mainland, the United States will go to war to defend Taiwan and send U.S. troops to fight the invaders.”

Buchanan isn’t opining. He’s essentially quoting Joe Biden!

Buchanan tells us:

Asked by CBS’s Scott Pelley on “60 Minutes” if the U.S. would fight in defense of Taiwan if China invaded, Biden replied, “Yes, if, in fact, there was an unprecedented attack.”

Pelley followed up: “So, unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir, U.S. forces — U.S. men and women — would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion.”

“Yes,” Biden responded.

Friends, listen up. This is the fourth time in his presidency that Biden has said the U.S. will fight for Taiwan, and that could mean all-out war with China–China claims Taiwan as its sovereign territory.

Buchanan notes the previous statements made by Biden”

In August 2021, Biden declared, “We made a sacred commitment to Article 5 that if in fact anyone were to invade or take action against our NATO allies, we would respond. … Same with Japan, same with South Korea, same with — Taiwan.”

In October 2021, Biden was again asked: “China just tested a hypersonic missile. What will you do to keep up with them militarily, and can you vow to protect Taiwan?”

Biden’s response: “Yes and yes.”

In a follow-up, Biden was asked again, “So are you saying that the United States would come to Taiwan’s defense if China attacked?”

Biden: “Yes, yes, we have a commitment to do that.”

Yet we have no such commitment, no such obligation, though Biden appeared to be establishing one as head of government, head of state and commander in chief.

In May, Biden was asked, “Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?”

Biden: “Yes.”

Question: “You are?”

Biden: “That’s the commitment we made.”

This is not conspiracy talk. This is the kind of stuff that should get us on our knees to pray.

I first heard about this story from friends in Nigeria. This is not making the news in the U.S.

Meantime, Biden is sending American troops to Somalia, for what?

ABUJA, Nigeria, May 13, 2022 (Morning Star News) – A Christian student stoned to death at a college in northwest Nigeria on Thursday (May 12) was falsely accused of blaspheming the prophet of Islam because she had refused to date a Muslim, sources said.

Deborah Emmanuel Yakubu, a 200-level student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, the capital of Sokoto state, was beaten, stoned to death and her body set on fire, area residents said; a video showing the attack reportedly appeared on social media on Thursday (May 12). In the video, an unidentified man reportedly rages in the Hausa language that he killed Yakubu and set her body on fire.

Yakubu, a member of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in her native Tungan Magajiya town, Rijau County in Niger state, was falsely accused of blaspheming Muhammad by a Muslim whose advances she had refused, said David Ayuba Azzaman, senior pastor at The King Worship Chapel and Ministries, Inc. in Kaduna city.

“Deborah Emmanuel was complaining in a class WhatsApp group chat, kicking against how they discriminate against Christians in the school in areas of assignments and test in favor of the Muslims,” Pastor Azzaman told Morning Star News. “This is what they used as a yardstick to say she insulted Muhammad. She didn’t insult prophet Muhammad, but it was discovered that she turned down a Muslim proposal to date her. That led to him accusing her of insulting prophet Muhammad.”

Local media reported that Yakubu said in the WhatsApp chat group that she had passed exams thanks to Christ, and when she was pressured to retract the statement and apologize, she declined. She urged fellow group members to refrain from discussing religion, according to news outlet Ejes Gist.

Area residents told Morning Star News in text messages that a Muslim mob dragged Yakubu from her hostel in the morning, stoned her to death and burned her corpse.

“This morning, a Christian female student was stoned to death and burned by some Muslim students who accused her of insulting Muhammad,” said area resident James Shingumi, as did another person living in the area.

The Rev. Kelvin Ugwu, a Roman Catholic priest, said in a statement that he had viewed a video of the assault.

“I can’t bring myself to share the videos of how they stoned and beat this young lady to death and subsequently burned her body,” Ugwu said. “It is very, very traumatizing.”

He said the killers video-recorded the killing shouting the jihadist slogan, “Allahu akbar [God is greater].”

“Why does this keep happening? What is the content of the insult she was accused of?” Ugwu asked. “How was it investigated? What part of our constitution allows this? Why are we silent about this evil? Why are Muslim elites silent about this? When are we going to have this conversation to put an end to this evil?”

Trusting God When Things Aren’t Going Your Way

My day was off to an exciting start and I was ready for another long drive in my current RV journey.

And then it happened.

A careless turn, in a parking lot of all places, caused major damage to the underside of the RV, leaving it inoperable. That and I’m still a couple of days from home.

I recorded the podcast while waiting for a mobile repairman.

All the questions: how much will this cost, how long will it take to fix, will I be stuck in this town for days?  Oy!

It’s so true though: it’s easy to be a full-of-faith Christian in the good times, but what do we do when things don’t seem to be going our way?

It all  comes down to knowing what it means to trust God.

To trust is to believe in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of something. So, when it comes to trusting God, that means believing in His reliability, His Word, His ability and His strength. The Bible says that God cannot lie. That He always keeps His promises. That He loves you and has good in store for you. Trusting in Him means believing what He says about Himself, about the world and about you is true.

Trusting God is more than a feeling; it’s a choice. A choice to have faith in what He says even when your feelings or circumstances would have you believe something different. Your feelings and circumstances are very real, and God cares about them both. But those things can change at any moment, even in an instant.

God, on the other hand, does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and therefore is worthy of your trust.

Trusting God is not about ignoring your feelings or reality. It is not pretending that everything is OK when it isn’t. Trusting God is living a life of belief in and obedience to God even when it’s difficult.

In Episode 143 of the The Brian Sussman Show Podcast, I detail the events of this morning, and expound on some key points to live a life of faith, even during times of challenge. Like I said, I created the podcast (and wrote this blogpost) while sitting in the broken RV.

As my wife told me over the phone: “Brian, you’re safe, you’re not in a hurry, it’s only money. I can fly down to be there with you if you would life. God’s got this.”

Phew. I love my wife.

Meantime, here I sit, patiently wait for the mobile repairman….

PS: after some phone calls, a great mechanic arrived, temporarily shored up the front hydraulic leveling jacks that were laying on the pavement beneath the RV, and said, “You’ll probably make it home okay.”

“Probably?” I asked.

“You should be good,” he restated. “Just avoid bumpy roads and speed bumps. The hydraulic jacks for the leveling system will need to be secured properly by an  RV repair outfit that can can it up on a rack.”

I thanked him profusely, paid him cash, and cautiously drove nearly 500 miles to our place in Northern Nevada. I winced (and prayed) with every bump. The freak 30-minute snow storm I ran into only stretched my faith.

By the way, all this and I didn’t mention the flat tire I had the day before!

 

Help Wanted: Foreign Christians to Evangelize America

America was originally founded by those who came to this new land on the Mayflower and subsequent ships, to be a place where Christians could openly express their faith and, in turn, send missionaries to the ends of the earth to see people come into a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe–the Messiah Jesus.

This nation made good on that intent for a long time. Certainly millions around the world can trace their hearing of the Word to Christians who came from the United States, not to mention the material aid in all forms that has plentifully flowed from the USA to the far reaches of the globe.

Now America is in a crisis. Christianity is in the crosshairs of the government and the left at large. Secularism has taken over. At the same time sin (and the occult) flourishes. Addictions, depression, racial division, gender rebellion and gender confusion, and vaccine conflicts are the norm.

Today, in a Zoom Bible study I’m a part of, a Christian brother from Nigeria said something that must be heard:
“America is in need of missionaries.” His comment received “amens” from other brothers in Eastern Europe and Kurkistan.

In other words, our Christian brothers and sisters in other nations believe missionaries from their lands need to come to evangelize the United State of America.

These are dark times indeed. Let’s pray for a harvest of souls in the USA and a revival of true faith worldwide.
